Govt. Mini Mata Girls’ College was established in the year 1989 by Goverment of Chattisgarh. The college was named after indian religious figure Mamtamayi Minimata (1913-1972) and run by the Department of Higher Education,
Govt. of Chhattisgarh. It is the only Girls’ College in entire Baloda Bazar district. The institution offers Under Graduate Degree Courses in Science, Home science, Arts streams and P.G. course in Hindi. Govt. Mini Mata Girls College Baloda Bazar (C.G.) was established in 1989 initiating with Arts stream. Later it added with B.Sc, B.Sc Home science and Post Graduate in Hindi, All are functioning smoothly.
Apart from the teaching, various sports activities are exercised and organised to encourage student's sporting spirit for their physical fitness. The college has co-curricular activities like NCC, NSS and Youth Red Cross to promote, practice the social responsibilities and service attitude among the students. Career counseling, skill development, vocational training, seminar are also organised with full participation.
About the infrastructure, the college has well equipped library with 15,000 books and also a reading room attached. Among the teams of this college, the sincere faculties, committed officials and dedicated non teaching staffs. All are co-operative and supportive in the work.
